As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that electrical systems are operating smoothly and safely. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in troubleshooting electrical issues, interpreting blueprints, installing electrical components, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using various testing devices and tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed
Requirements
- Ability to provide proof of career hours worked.
- Journeyman Electrician license or certification
- Proven experience working as a Journeyman Electrician
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical plans
- Good physical stamina and working condition to perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and safety regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
