Join Our Growing Allergy Practice: Seeking a Detail-Oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician.
Are you an organized, detail-oriented healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact in allergy care?
Our thriving allergy practice is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician, or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Serum Vial Preparation: Mix serum vials according to protocols.
- Strong knowledge of standards and all relevant USP compounding guidelines is a plus
- Use our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to track prescriptions and update/maintain patient account information
- Inventory Support: Order, organize and keep track of inventory
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by setting up and sanitizing your workstation
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of compound
- Monitor and maintain compounding equipment
- Ship out medication accordingly
What We're Looking For:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow clinical protocols and safety standards.
- detailed oriented individual with a positive attitude who enjoys a challenging environment
- A focused work ethic
- Strong knowledge of standards and all relevant USP compounding guidelines is a plus
- Must be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Prescription Management software systems and standard office equipment.
- Experience: Previous experience in allergy care, mixing serum vials, or administering allergy shots is a plus but not required—we will provide training!
- Compassionate Care: Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Hours: Part-time
Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or LVN.
- Experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with AAAAI protocols is a strong advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPR certification is required; additional emergency response training is a plus.
Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPht) or Texas State (RPhT) is required
- High School diploma or GED is required
