SUMMARY
The Job Discovery (JDP) Training Instructor will provide specialized job training and career exploration opportunities for Clark County School District (CCSD) students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The instructor will help students develop the skills and knowledge necessary for successful employment and independence. This position involves collaboration with Job Developers, managers, supervisors, CCSD employees, and parents/guardians to create a supportive and inclusive environment for each student. The ultimate goal is to empower students to reach their full potential and achieve their career aspirations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and or physical disabilities.
- Assist with job-specific challenges that may arise.
- Identify and support students' short-term and long-term career goals.
- Communicate, coordinate, and coach students alongside the training and assessment team, job developers, Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Desert Regional Center (DRC), Clark County School District (CCSD), and parents/guardians.
- Work with students to expand and enhance their job readiness in preparation for employment, including assisting with resume preparation, job searches, job applications, and interview training.
- Network and maintain positive professional relationships with community sites to expand existing training opportunities and cultivate new work experience options for students seeking competitive employment.
- Prepare all necessary documentation, including but not limited to department monthly reports, incident reports, ID notes, weekly training reports, and daily attendance records.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
- May be assigned other duties as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not directly supervise OV team members but does oversee the work and success of students in the program.
