As a Job Developer at Alliance for Community Empowerment, you'll guide participants through career exploration, facilitate work readiness classes, and assist with job searching and placement. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs outreach and marketing duties to recruit participants and educate the community on ACE Services.
- Arranges and participates in participants’ service meetings, team meetings, etc. and coordinates wrap-around services with other providers; provides transportation of participants to meet program goals.
- Enters data into participant databases; assists in the writing of periodic program reports.
- Prepares weekly lesson plans for work readiness curriculum, keeps track on participant progress, submits grades, and coordinates with the team.
- Provides one-on-one assistance and facilitates workshops to support participant’s career and post-secondary goals.
- Develops an individual career plan using the participants' job readiness assessment to outline the participant’s service needs.
- Maintains and posts a current listing of local job, career, and post-secondary opportunities for program participants.
- Works with graduates, alumni, and former participants to secure employment and post-secondary education placement.
- Keeps track of participants’ and alumni’s job and post-secondary placements and develops solutions with them to maintain placements.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Possesses the technical and software skills to perform the duties of the position (including Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office).

Recognizes appropriate boundaries and limitations on interactions with program participants and their families and the need to maintain professional standards and practices. Is familiar with standard approaches to accurate participant record keeping, including timely charting, notation formats, content limitations, and confidentiality practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to provide services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 2 years of workforce development services; or
- Equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Spanish language skills, verbal and written preferred.
- Possess a current California Driver’s License, clean DMV record & adequate auto insurance.
- Must submit to a Department of Justice Criminal background check.
- Initial TB employment clearance required.
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $28.85 to $30.45 hourly. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
