Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Job Cost Associate to join their team in Connecticut. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts payable and a keen interest in cost management within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process high volume accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze and report on job costs and financial data.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Assist with the reconciliation of job cost accounts and prepare necessary adjustments as needed.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cost control systems and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry and documentation management.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with Sage software is preferred.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and related cost management practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, first shift.
Benefits
Competitive pay ranging from $23 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
