Job Accounting Specialist - PK Contracting, Inc.

Salary $65-75K depending on experience

Location: Troy, MI

This is an on-site position (full time, in office role)

The Job Accounting Specialist is a full-time position and will report to the Regional Controller.

Position Details:

• Maintain job revenue and costs by collecting, calculating and entering data, resolving discrepancies, and maintain job files
• Responsible for full construction project accounting functions (revenue and costs)
• Maintain and enter data entries of key processes, logs and reports
• Setup job projects and items accordingly
• Maintain project-related records and change orders; update system information
• Ensure proper project costing and prime contractor invoices
• Investigate project variances
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Revenue backlog
• Discuss with management on any extra work opportunities for additional billings
• Close out project accounts upon project completion both internal and externally
• Proactively provide feedback to management on projects needing attention
• Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
• Assist with ERP developments
• Assess and improve internal processes and controls as appropriate

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years of general accounting experience required
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
