JNOSC NETWORK ENGINEER
CMIT is seeking a Network to help support our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The schedule for this position is for MID Shift. Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the transport segment of the network is being monitored, maintained, and is operating as designed during their shift.
- Monitor and assign Remedy tickets and ensuring tickets are being resolved within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Handle all escalations.
- Provide Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Schedules authorized outages to implement proposed solutions.
- Analyzes and monitor network topologies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting of routers and switches.
- May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Certifications
- Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliant certification required (e.g., CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)
- One of the following Networking Certifications: Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), Aruba required
- Aruba Certification (ACSA and/or ACSP, depending on role) desired
Qualifications Required
- 8+ years of Network Engineering experience
- Must have hands-on experience/knowledge with Aruba networking systems
Clearance Required
- Top Secret Clearance
