Job Title: Java Software Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
Position Type: Contract – 6+ Months
Interview Process: 1 Telephonic Screen and 2 rounds of In-person interview

The Java Software Engineer will be required to analyze and help develop an array of current product offerings and business requirements within the organization. You will work with the product development teams (e.g. engineering, product managers and analysts) to develop and maintain solutions that meet the needs of the business, utilizing industry standard best practices and creative design techniques.
Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop and maintain current Java enterprise applications * Conduct design reviews and code reviews
* Design and develop new system enhancements
* Review existing software projects
* Help in establishing application development standards and best practices
* Perform complex design, implementation and maintenance of moderately complex modules/subsystems with a focus in usability and scalability
* Collaborate with other developers to architect, build, test, and support technology solutions
* Take on challenging work and complete tasks on time with high quality
* Assist team members with issue resolution and mitigation, and team dynamics. Evolve internal team standards, procedures, processes, and best practices to ensure efficient resource utilization
The Requirements
* Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related development experience
* Experience with Object Oriented concepts
* Experience in working with Java 6 SE Development Kit through Java 8 SE Development Kit
* Experience with Java EE using Java Servlet implementation on Apache Tomcat
* Experience with Eclipse Interface Development Environment (IDE)
* Experience with Javascript, JQuery, and AJAX
* Experience with unit testing and documentation in JUnit
* Strong external developer and user interaction sense
* Experience with Oracle Database and Oracle SQL Developer
* Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server
* Some experience with Microsoft SQL preferred
* Experience in both Waterfall and Agile Scrum software development life cycle
* Experience working with applications requiring internationalization and localization for global markets
* Experience working with collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Confluence and JIRA preferred
* Experience using source control management tools in Subversion and TortoiseSVN
* Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability and proven analytical, methodical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
* Excellent verbal and writing skills, including the ability to research, design, and write new documentation, as well as to maintain and improve existing material
