As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank, Payments Technology, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a lead of a software engineering team, you lead the execution of software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Collect data and build data-pipes from various data sources, including databases, APIs, external data providers, batch and streaming sources(real time). Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications. Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced in one or more programming language(s) including Python, PySpark, Java Experience with data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform data analysis (Data Discovery, Data Mining & Data processing) Good understanding distributed systems and knowledge of streaming technologies like Apache Kafka to handle and analyze data. Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS & Azure and working knowledge of AWS Glue and EMR usage for Data processing. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Practical cloud native experience Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong skills in PySpark and Multi cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP.etc) Good to have knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Delta live Tables (DLT) Experience in one or more of Spring boot / Micro Services / Kafka / Cassandra & API development In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
