Rate Range: $40/hr on W2 and $45-$50/hr on C2C



Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer with expertise in OpenShift to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Java, experience with containerized environments, and a deep understanding of cloud-native development using Red Hat OpenShift.
• You will play a critical role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure Java-based applications on OpenShift.

• Application Development:Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications following industry best practices.
• Write clean, modular, and scalable code using Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• OpenShift Platform Management:Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and deployments.
• Optimize application performance in OpenShift clusters.
• Collaboration:Work closely with DevOps, QA, and other development teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
• Performance and Security:Monitor and improve application performance on OpenShift.
• Implement security best practices for containerized environments.
• Troubleshooting and Support:Debug and resolve application issues in production and non-production environments.
• Provide support for OpenShift platform-related challenges.

• Programming Skills:Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• OpenShift Expertise:In-depth knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, including deploying and managing containers, pods, and services.
• Experience with OpenShift CLI, YAML configurations, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• DevOps Integration:Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Tekton.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Cloud and Microservices:Experience in designing and deploying microservices-based applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and 12-factor application principles.
• Version Control:Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
• Other Tools & Technologies:Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging frameworks.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
