Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Java Developer:
- Develop and maintain Java and J2EE application components, including JSP, Custom Tag libraries, JavaScript, Session EJBs, and JDBC.
- Utilize Java Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as RAD 7.5 or above.
- Apply Object-Oriented analysis and design using Singleton, Factory, and DAO design patterns.
- Implement MVC architecture for application design and development.
- Develop batch jobs and web services.
- Work with IBM Websphere Application Server 8.0 for application deployment and management.
- Write and optimize SQL statements for relational databases, specifically Oracle Database 12c.
Required Skills for Java Developer:
- 5+ years of experience with Java and J2EE development
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database 12c
- 5+ years of experience with REST Web Services
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles
- Experience supporting and maintaining Java applications
