Java Developer - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Newark, NJ(Hybrid). Youwill be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services in a fraud and claims environment, utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices.

 

Rate Range: $54/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Design and implement scalable, efficient backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.

• Build and maintain microservices to support the Fraud and Claims applications.

• Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.

• Deploy applications using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth integration with OpenShift.

• Troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing applications to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

·         Participate in code reviews, provide guidance to junior developers, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Provide ongoing support for existing applications, including bug fixes, enhancements, and operational support.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java development and backend technologies.

• Proficiency with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka.

• Experience working with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (OpenShift).

Pay Details: $54.00 to $64.00 per hour
