Java Developer - AKKODIS

 

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Newark, DE (Hybrid). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing backend services, as well as writing complex SQL queries and ensuring code quality using tools like JUnit and Sonar.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java/J2EE technologies, Spring, and Kafka.

• Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for database interactions, primarily with Oracle or SQL Server.

• Implementing and managing microservices architecture using tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices using tools such as JUnit and Sonar.

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring system performance and reliability.

• Working in an Agile environment to deliver timely and efficient solutions while continuously improving processes.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Java/J2EE development.

• Experience with backend technologies such as Spring, Kafka, and OpenShift.

• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with databases like Oracle or SQL Server.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
