Technical Requirements and/or Certifications »
- Java Enterprise Edition
- Apache Kafka
- Microsoft Azure
- Apache Spark
- PERL Scripting
- Python Scripting
- PostgreSQL
Education and Experience »
- 5+ years of software development experience, including system design, data modeling, and implementation
- 2+ years of hands-on coding and system deployment experience on Cloud Platforms
- Hands-on-experience in big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark and Hive with an understanding of ETL tools such as Sqoop, Flume and Kafka
- Experience using source code repositories such as GIT and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, JUnit and containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience scripting in either Perl or Python
- Strong database concepts and experience working with large data sets
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming in at least one of C++ / Java / Scala
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, query construction and optimization
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform and available technologies
