Position: Web Services Developer

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid (2 days/week(Tuesday/Wednesday) on-site)

NOTE: Candidates MUST be located in Lansing, MI within acommutable distance (1-1.5 hours) at time of submission. NO RELOCATION ALLOWED.Position will be hybrid work schedule onsite 2 days, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Description:

Our client is looking for a Web Services Developer. Thisposition will work with Enterprise Solutions Architect and Enterprise DataArchitects. The focus in this role is on building robust, efficient, and secureAPIs, leveraging the Spring Framework to create scalable and maintainablesolutions.

Tasks:

• Integrate client applications for various Enterprise needs.
• Design/develop/maintain APIs using Spring framework.
• Involves understanding the needs of the applications and develop/implement web services utilizing Spring framework. In addition, document APIs using tools like Swagger or Open API.
• Work closely with Solution Architect, Data Architect, Technical leads, and other stakeholders to define and deliver features.
• This position will also support integration needs of COTS applications and interfacing with cloud.

Skills Required

• 10 years - Experience in Java
• 5 years - Experience in Spring Framework
• 5 years - Experience in developing and consuming Rest APIs
• 3 years - Experience in Oracle/SQL
• 2 years - Experience in React
• Expert level experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, JPA, Hibernate, Swagger (Open API), Spring Security, JWT and React
• Experience writing complex queries and interact with relational databases for CRUD operations
• Strong knowledge of REST and/SOAP web services
• Experience in OAUTH or OpenID or SAML authentication integration technologies
• Experience in developing in Kubernetes platforms preferably OpenShift
• Experience in developing secure microservices
• Experience with version control systems
• Solid knowledge of security standards, particularly with Spring Security
• Experience with JBOSS EAP platform
• Experience with Cloud Platforms preferably AWS / Azure
• Experience participating as a programmer within an Agile development environment
