Technical Must-Haves:
Java (10 YEARS MINIMUN )
Insurance industry background (property causality, reinsurance)
Experience refactoring legacy applications
Maven
Spring
Hiberante
SQL Server (Note any SQL is fine, the Frame is SQL Server, but Oracle would be fine)
Javascript
Web services
Experience:
Security vulnerability remediation, software upgrades, which may include London market and Lloyds messaging (EDI, SCM, DSM and USM)
Delivering functional changes mainly small changes < $50k and some projects (GDPR Data Minimization being a key one in 2021)
The candidates will initially work on a legacy, policy admin application that is very complex but has one release every few of months rather than multiple large-scale projects
experience with user interface design and database structures
experience working with a company where they have demonstrated the ability to write well-designed code that withstands testing and runs efficiently, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and debug code before it is released
competent java developers who can join the team as individuals pick up and understand changes, navigate the legacy code, propose solutions and deliver these to our coding standards
candidates that are able to work on old code delivering value to the business in smallish increments of change
