Java Developer at AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL (Hybrid). This role involves building and maintaining high-performance applications, ensuring seamless data streaming, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud-based solutions.

 

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and deploying Java-based applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize solutions.

• Implementing microservices using Spring Boot, managing data streams with Kafka, and deploying applications on AWS.

• Writing and maintaining high-quality code, performing code reviews, and following best practices for software development.

• Developing and executing unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.

• Maintaining documentation and providing technical support to nsure smooth application operations.

• Must have Kafka Messaging services experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Java development and related technologies. + years of experience with AWS cloud with RDS

• 7+ years in one of the following: Java, Spring boot, 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS. 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
