Qualifications:
Self-motivated problem solver with demonstrated passion for delivering high quality modular code
Extensive object-oriented software development and domain design.
7+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable and performant distributed applications using Java, JavaScript, Python and/or Scala
Good Understanding of SOAP/REST concepts and experience in developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services (JAX-WS and JAX-RS)
Experienced in using open source tools/projects, such as Spring, Jersey, Hibernate, kafka etc. Any contribution to open source projects is a huge plus.
Strong system and application troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Quality conscious and familiar with various unit/functional testing tools (Junit, selenium or cucumber)
Experienced in AWS or any other Cloud based development practices/tools.
Experienced in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment (Jenkins/Hudson, Chef or Puppet)
Proven track record of working in fast paced Agile development team
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a dynamic cross-functional team promoting best engineering practices throughout SDLC in Agile environment
Design, Development as well as unit/functional testing of the various components
Lead the design and estimation efforts for various on going initiatives
Full stack development on all aspects of applications including UX, persistence, security, session management, single sign on, middleware services, REST APIs, etc.
Translate Product Owner specified requirements into high quality, modular and functional code
