Position: Account Manager, SBU Commercial - Insurance - Hybrid/Remote opportunities
This position will be responsible for provides support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing client accounts under $50,000 in premium while strengthening our relationships with clients and carriers. This is accomplished by building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships between members of the Client Service Team and Risk Management Team members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all account transactions including applications, quotations, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements, certificates, binders, billing, follow-up, and correspondence on assigned accounts.
- Maintain all client files in the agency management system with full policy detail and use the system for all transactions, notes and diaries.
- Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, company request, and risk management team member needs on a timely basis.
- Collect renewal data on assigned accounts, visiting clients if necessary. • Review and order renewals according to agency procedures.
- Survey policy coverages and identify cross-selling and upgrading opportunities. • Review, analyze, and submit applications to team member designated to business development and/or insurance companies.
- Follow agency’s underwriting guidelines.
- Adhere to agency’s policies and procedures
- Prepare quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals and recommendations needed to ensure clients/prospects understanding and adequacy of coverages.
- Collaborates with Claims and Personal Lines to increase efficiencies and ensure implementation of best practices.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associates Degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required
- Property & Casualty license and/or Life and Health insurance license, preferred Technology Skills:
- Epic or similar agency management software experience, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Other Qualifications:
- Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
- Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior and effort to achieve goals and objectives
- Self-motivated and driven
- The ability to multi task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
