Janitor - L.A. Gauge Company

We are looking for a diligent and reliable Janitor to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas.

- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, and replace liners.

- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions.

- Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.

- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.

- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor leaks.

- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.

- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.

- Report any safety, sanitary, or maintenance issues to management.

- Assist with emergency cleaning needs as required.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.

- Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures, and equipment.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

- Good physical condition, with the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

- Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals safely.

Working Conditions

- This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be comfortable with standing, bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
