JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Night Custodian
Responsible to: Supervisor or Crew Leader
Job Summary:
Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule, and using prescribed methods.
Supervision:
The Custodian shall receive direct supervision in accordance with administrative policies and procedures and shall report to the supervisor or crew leader of the company.
Responsibility and Authority:
Dust horizontal surfaces that collect dust
Empty waste baskets and remove trash
Damp wipe clean all furniture, removing fingerprints and foreign particles and polish
Clean and polish metal and porcelain fixtures in restrooms
Dry mop and sanitize floors of rooms and offices
Spot clean walls and windows
Polish metal surfaces
Replenish restroom supplies
Vacuum carpeted rooms and spot clean carpets when assigned
Perform floor maintenance (i.e. stripping and waxing, buffing) when assigned
Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed
Maintain and clean assigned equipment Observe and report needed repairs for equipment, furniture, building and fixtures to supervisor or group leader
Ability to follow directions
Ability to abide by company policies and procedures
Keep work chart and equipment neat and clean
Details of Physical Activities:
Stand and walk (100%) Flexible
Climb a 3 feet or sometimes a 6 feet ladder – Flexible
Turn, reach, stoop, crouch (40%) while performing tasks such as scouring, wet dusting and cleaning – Flexible
Push and pull wet mops and/or dry mops
Lift and carry cleaning equipment and materials
Other:
Will be trained to perform in all areas of custodial duties as outlined in the contract, to include the cleaning of the Butcher Shop/Meat Room
Will be expected to perform in any capacity of the custodial duties as directed by the Supervisor or Crew Leader.
May be required to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
Attire: Must wear steel toe shoes

Meetings:
Attend all employee meetings and training workshops as required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Read or write English
