CommQuest seeks a Jail Liaison and Recovery Facilitator position is responsible for providing a seamless transition for clients from jail to aftercare services. The role includes conducting substance use disorder (SUD) assessments, jail liaison duties, facilitating group sessions, providing transportation, and supporting the work of current Chemical Dependency Counselors (CDCA). This position works closely with jail and community staff to meet client needs and enhance service delivery.

What you'll do:
- Provide transportation and support from jail to aftercare services.
- Perform case management duties, assisting clients with obtaining services and developing discharge plans, and ensure documentation meets agency productivity standards.
- Provide individual and group counseling to clients, floating between Day Hospital (DH) and Wellness House (WH) as needed, and offer crisis intervention and stabilization counseling.
- Facilitate chemical dependency intakes, screenings, and assessments, accurately document findings, and place clients in appropriate treatment modalities following quality assurance standards.
- All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Candidates must have been unemployed for the past six months to qualify for grant. This is a Temporary, Full-Time position, Canton/Massillon campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field preferred. Activecertification as CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, or LICDC-CS. issued by the State of Ohio Professionals Board.At minimum, a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification is required.
- Minimum 1-year of experience as a chemical dependency counselor required; experience with adolescents preferred if working with that population.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Availability for some evenings and weekends as needed is required.
