Opportunity Overview

We are currently seeking a seasoned J2EE Developer for a W2 contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. Position Description

The Propulsion team is looking for a senior developer focused on delivering user-friendly features to meet business demand. The developer is expected to be skilled in OOP, Java, JavaScript, CSS, and employs test-driven development (TDD) based on a proven Agile/Scrum framework. The Software Engineer will work in a lean, cross-functional, and co-located team and collaborate with Product Managers and Business customers to ensure delivery with quality at market speed.

Skills Required

• 6 years of working experience in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST Standards
• 6 years of experience in Java/J2EE development with Spring, Hibernate, Servlets, JSP, JSF, JDBC
• 5 years of experience in Angular Framework
• Good knowledge in multi-threaded applications and SOAP/REST web services
• 3 years of experience with relational database development such as MS SQL Server/PostGres
• Develop database objects including stored procedures, functions, and troubleshoot issues using SQL
• Working experience in GCP environment

Skills Preferred

• Agile development
• Experience in Rally/Jira
• Development Practices such as TDD/BDD
• Well-versed with design such as OOP
• Code quality analysis of performing static and dynamic analysis on their own code

Experience Required

6 years' experience in J2EE development

Experience Preferred

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Angular (Version 12 and above) and Spring Boot (Java 17)
• Minimum 5 years of SQL/Oracle database experience
• A couple of years of experience on PostGres
• GCP development (CloudRun, PubSub, GCS Bucket) and deployment experience
• Microservices/APIGEE/Rest API development

Education Required

Bachelor's (or above) degree in engineering majors, e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
