Program Manager to join the team in Livonia, MI.
Reports to: Manager, Automotive Sales
Hours/Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
8:30am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch (must be flexible based on business needs)
Work environment: Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1
Work from Home day
Travel: Required up to 20%, Domestic and
International (Valid passport required)

About the role:
The J-OEM Program Manager is responsible for Toyota, Honda
and other J-OEM program management of harness and connector products. This
includes providing technical and scheduling support for all impacted platforms
and model years. Under the direction and with the support of the Sales
Managements, this Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating and
managing programs through the development, prototype, production, and delivery
phases after the design-in effort is completed.
The J-OEM Program Manager will be the main interface to the
customer for resolving commercial, tooling, capacity & production issues.
The J-OEM Program Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting
progress of programs to both the customer and within JAE. He/she will be
expected to communicate the customer’s requirements within JAE’s organization
and interface with multiple groups within JAE group to ensure customer specific
requirements are understood and met.
Additional Sales responsibilities will be required
including, but not limited to the following: Tier 1 customer responsibility as
assigned, new product promotion to assigned customers, APR negotiation,
forecasting, budgeting, and quotation process.
In addition to previous Program Management and/or Sales
experience, the individual should have general knowledge about the connector
industry including harness and connector component materials; electrical &
electronic signal concepts; injection molding, stamping and the overall design
of connectors & assemblies as they relate to automotive applications.
What you’ll do:
- Management of J-OEM
programs. - Reporting of program
details, progress, and issues to both customer and relevant JAE
departments. - Identify and facilitate
resolution of critical business issues. - Interface between the
customers and JAE’s Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing
groups. - Responsible for all
Sales activities for assigned customers. - Provide sales and
bookings forecasts for J-OEM programs and other customers as assigned. - Program management for
J-OEM – 40% - Forecast & budget –
20% - Customer support
(Guiding resolution on both quality & delivery issues) – 20% - Promotional activities –
10% - Reporting &
Administrative – 10%
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering / Business preferred) or
equivalent experience. - 1 - 3 years combined experience in automotive sales,
program management, applications engineering or a technical sales
position. - Ability to initiate and maintain customer / supplier
relationships. - Program management skills.
- Strong negotiation and Sales skills.
- Technical knowledge relating to interconnect products
and their applications preferred. - Strong work ethic
- A valid driver's license and Passport are required.
