IV Pharm Tech WEEKDAY rate - Alliance Solutions

One of our clients in the Worthington, OH area is currently seeking an IV Certified Pharmacy Technician. If you have current or prior experience working with IVs and are looking for a flexible 1st shift, this is for you! These are full-time positions that will entail working in a Long term care pharmacy. This will pay up to $24/hr, and the schedule is 8a-4:30p with every other weekend.

As an IV Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door, long-term care pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of intravenous (IV) medications for our patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to long-term care residents.

1. IV Medication Preparation: Accurately compound and prepare IV medications, including sterile admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN, following established protocols and maintaining strict aseptic techniques.

2. Medication Verification: Conduct thorough quality checks and verifications to ensure the accuracy of prepared IV medications, minimizing the risk of errors.

3. Inventory Management: Assist in the management of IV medication inventory, including ordering, restocking, and ensuring proper storage conditions.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of IV preparations and patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements.

5. Compliance: Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, standards, and safety protocols, including USP <797> guidelines for sterile compounding.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address patient-specific medication needs and provide excellent customer service.

7. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of compounding equipment and cleanrooms.
