Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf (2024-25) - Clear Creek Independent School District

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university in communication, visual arts or related field;
2. At least three (3) years work experience utilizing content management systems preferred;
3. Exceptional graphic design skills;
4. Understanding of social media and ability to build engagement across multiple platforms;
5. Writing skills preferred;
6. HTML proficiency and/or web design software experience preferred;
7. Public education experience, preferred;
8. At least three (3) years work experience in graphic design/visual media preferred;
9. Computer proficiency required in desktop publishing; Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects preferred;
10. Demonstrated proficiency on Macintosh and Windows computers;
11. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality essential;
12. Leadership experience preferred;
13. Demonstrated strong work ethic / organizational skills
14. Sound judgment and decision-making

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Annual Contract: 250 days

SALARY:

$68,473/BA-4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the 2024-2025 school year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Coordinate an in-house graphic library by managing the creation of new images for district publications, social media channels and broadcasts.
2. Coordinate and design graphics for brochures, flyers, publications, social media and the district website.
3. Manage a multimedia specialist and part-time staff to ensure thorough coverage of events.
4. Produce designated district publications.
5. Ensure consistent branding and standards for campuses and facilities, coordinating digital signage throughout the district.
6. Enhance venues and event online presence by creating, developing and managing content of websites, social media campaigns and video graphics.
7. Update and coordinate marquee and digital signage system postings.
8. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical systems at the assigned location(s) to present graphic enhancements for events.
9. Design and coordinate layouts for facility signage, identify vendors and oversee installation.
10. Collaborate and coordinate with venue departments, CFISD content creators and external clients.
11. Must be flexible to work night and weekend events.
12. Coordinate the printing of selected publications with the district print center.
13. Research and gather information for ongoing projects.
14. Perform related duties as assigned by the director of communication and the assistant director of communication.
