Description: Our client is currently seeking a Item Processing - Payment Services Administrator
his position supports the daily operations of the Item Processing and Checking Operations teams by developing and supporting processes that enhance business operations and organizational growth. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing program efficiencies, supporting internal process improvements, collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance member experiences, and managing system testing and outages. This role also governs internal and external communications, leads internal initiatives, and facilitates enhancements driven by audits or regulatory stakeholders.
Tasks, Duties, Functions:
Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners, IT, and vendors, to identify changes, assess potential impacts, define scope requirements, develop operational plans, and implement enhancements.
Serve as the designated project subject matter expert.
Manage and review system access to business platforms and conduct role reviews during system audits.
Support service pack upgrades, new feature testing, disaster recovery testing, and production issue resolution.
Conduct risk assessments in compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
Develop compliant and user-friendly workflows to improve business practices and member experiences.
Identify and implement process efficiencies using robotics and automation best practices.
Develop and document program procedures, facilitate role-specific training, and manage internal and external communications.
Support and coordinate reporting requests, review program financials and key performance indicators, and guide platform growth to achieve service excellence.
Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, and bolster internal controls for effective data management.
Perform any other duties or special requests as assigned.
Physical Skills, Abilities, and Exertion:
Strong oral and written communication skills required for report preparation and collaboration.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including computers, adding machines, and telephones.
Organizational Contacts & Relationships:
Internal: All levels of staff and management.
External: Vendors, financial institutions, and other business sources.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields preferred. Equivalent work experience may substitute for a degree.
Experience: Minimum of four years of progressive experience in financial services, with at least two to three years in operations and managing financial products or services. Experience with business banking systems is a plus. Knowledge of credit union operations or payments is highly desired.
