IT Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The Information Systems Technician assists IS staff and employees in network support through hardware/software maintenance, upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting. Focuses on desktop & printer issues, and helps with desktop support. Acts as support for corporate users of network resources. Provides additional support to Information Systems management, Systems Administrators, and Programmer Analysts in completing projects and support requests in a timely manner. Provides support for requests made through Fujimi's helpdesk support ticketing system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists IS Manager and IS staff, specifically in program development, network installations and other IS or Engineering projects as needed.
- Assists with tape backups and network inventory.
- Assists with performing software and hardware installations and troubleshooting including maintenance records.
- Assists with client support at the desktop level for both hardware and software. Hardware support includes, but is not limited to: desktop computers, printers, print servers, etc. Software support includes, but is not limited to: MS Office, chat/calling/collaboration programs, and other programs as required.
- Provides recommendations for improving and automating existing IS Technician functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred; Field of Study: Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: Typically 1+ years of experience in computer maintenance and support.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of desktop applications, Windows 11, and computer hardware troubleshooting methods.
Certifications & Licenses: Certification in Microsoft Applications, CompTIA or other systems desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing environment. On-call status for emergencies, and exposure to various computer and manufacturing equipment.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Travel: 10%
