This position will be responsible for providing installation support to existing hardware, software, network configurations. This position will be required to build, install, and maintain cable systems and transfer systems between sites.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform mechanical components and equipment assembly work,
- Perform cabling and rack assembly to a high level of workmanship standards,
- Support onsite and local trainer installations and upgrades, and
- Perform material handling, inventory control and auditing functions.
This position supports a US Navy program whose mission is to design, develop, and support systems used for the measurement, acquisition, processing, and analysis of ship signature data. The program designs hardware and software for signature characterizations, signal processing, signal imaging, and advanced algorithm development. Advanced, unconventional signal processing techniques are used to assess the vulnerability of ship signatures for exploitation by threat sensors. In addition, the program designs, develops, and supports the operating fleets’ signature data collection, processing, and analysis systems, thereby ensuring commonality and interchangeability of data and systems.
This contract requires the provision of scientific, engineering, and technical support required for the design, development, fabrication, integration, test, fleet implementation, and maintenance of simulation systems. The contract provides technical engineering support for simulation and training system capabilities to existing fleet on-site maintenance personnel for the operational systems and also supports tactical testing and analysis system configurations for common simulation and tactical subsystems utilized in these trainers.
REQUIRED.
- Technical AA degree or equivalent. Experience as a Navy ET, ST or FT may be substituted for the education requirement.
- You must have U.S. Citizenship and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance.
- Must have 4+ years of applicable work experience and be able to demonstrate the skills and capabilities to successfully execute the duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work well under deadlines, frequently with quick turnaround. Must be proficient with desktop computing platforms (PCs) and applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
DESIRED:
- Previous Navy (or other service) experience, knowledge of audio systems, experience operating and maintaining secure IT systems.
- Experience with Linux, Atlassian Products, AutoCAD and/or other CAD or drafting software.
