About the Job
Computers and Peripherals
Ability to Install, configure, and troubleshoot various computer software and hardware issues.
Ability to load, configure and troubleshoot software.
Troubleshoot and repair hardware problems.
Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, monitors, cameras, and other computer connected equipment.
Install and troubleshoot Analog and IP video security systems.
Cabling
Ability to run, terminate, test, and troubleshoot various voice and data type cabling and their associated hardware. A few examples include cabling and hardware such as Cat 5e,6 and 25 pair cabling & related color codes for all cabling: 66 blocks, 110 blocks, RJ21X blocks, RJ11, RJ45, etc.
Ability to project manage a voice/data cabling infrastructure from blueprints to 100% installation for restaurant or hotel properties.
Telephony
Ability to install and troubleshoot analog phone lines.
Knowledge of how various circuits and trunks are connected and used such as T1s, point to point, and DSL.
Data
Knowledge of how to install and connect network hardware in a business environment.
Ability to activate and troubleshoot network ports from network equipment.
Project Management
Experience and training using Project Management Methodologies.
Demonstrate the organizational skills to manage multiple projects such as moving small groups of people to install 100% of the IT department’s cabling and equipment for new facilities openings (restaurants, hotels, offices, etc.).
Knowledge and ability to work with vendors to acquire support and maintenance of network equipment, cabling, computer hardware IP Video security systems, etc.
Education
High School Diploma.
Certification, degree, or current student in Computer Science Program.
Industry Certifications a plus.
