We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Validation Engineer to support a critical program. This role is responsible for ensuring IT systems and infrastructure solutions are thoroughly tested, validated, and integrated to meet both operational and technical requirements, bridging the gap between design and production to ensure readiness for deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with secure, enterprise-level IT systems.

- Define, develop, and execute system validation plans, including hardware, software, and infrastructure components.
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts for hardware and software components.
- Perform integration testing to ensure seamless functionality and compatibility across systems.
- Validate system performance, reliability, and security under operational conditions.
- Troubleshoot, document, and resolve issues identified during the validation process.
- Collaborate with system architects, engineers, and vendors to confirm adherence to program specifications.
- Manage validation lab environments, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Provide detailed analysis and reports on validation outcomes, risks, and recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure alignment with program requirements, security protocols, and industry standards (e.g., CSfC guidelines).
- Support configuration management and version control processes to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
- Assist in the transition of validated systems to production environments.
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- This position anticipates a mix of on-site and remote work with regular hours, Monday-Friday.
WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL:
- This position may be seated at one of the primary customer locations; Washington, DC; Clarksburg, WV; or Ashburn, VA; based on candidate location.
CLEARANCE:
- Active Top Secret (TS) is required upon application for initial consideration, with the ability and willingness to be upgraded to a TS/SCI. This position is not open for any additional clearance upgrades, to include reactivation, or sponsorship.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is desired. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, preferred.
CERTIFICATION(S):
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ITIL, AWS Solutions Architect).
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more (5+) years of experience in IT systems validation, testing, or system integration roles.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems, including hardware, networks, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience with testing tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
- Familiarity with system integration and validation processes for secure environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities, particularly when conveying technical findings.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting DoD, FBI, or other intelligence community programs.
- Knowledge of secure IT environments, including CSfC standards and protocols.
- Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and enterprise virtualization technologies.

Pay Range: $150,000.00 - $235,000.00 per year
