IT Systems Specialist DC - Weekend Shift - Big Lots

About the Job
Serves as the first level of support for Distribution Center (DC) associates and management for problems with RF equipment, network communications, printers, and kiosks that support DC operations. This includes troubleshooting, resolving, or escalating issues to the appropriate 2nd and 3rd level support teams within IT.
1. Services, installs, recovers and troubleshoots all PC, Mobile computing devices, VOIP phones and user application issues in the DC. Acts as a resource for all IT related issues, supporting a wide range of software and hardware items throughout the DC.
2. Monitor and maintain operational health of wireless and network throughout the Distribution center.
3. Configures, installs and maintains equipment associated with IT throughout the DC, to include forklift mounted RF units, thin client terminals, laser printers, and specialty label printers.
4. Responds to various issues regarding the network, servers and other systems required to perform daily production throughout the DC, to include identifying the source of the issue, assisting in problem resolution and escalating to the appropriate technical resource group, including informing management.
5. Assists in monitoring and controlling weekly printing of production printing for DC distribution, to include scheduling, managing inventories and onsite vendor service/ preventative maintenance for OCE printers. Also includes any other printing required by IT on behalf of the DC and/or Headquarters
6. Monitors the various systems, SOTI, SCCM, JAMF Pro and Network utilization to verify systems reporting in correctly and managing inventories to ensure they are up to date.
7. Troubleshoots hardware and maintaining spare inventories for the DC, including processing of RMA gear.
8. Processing and overseeing project with outside vendors.
9. Evaluates, analyzes, and supports overall computing and IT needs of employees within the DC and aids and backup support to IT Service Center and End User computing team out of Headquarters.
Qualification
1. Computer science degree, current enrollment in a technical school or one-year computer related experience preferred.
2. Experience with using an IT Service management tool, ServiceNow preferred.
3. Previous experience repairing and setting up PCs, iOS, and Retail devices.
4. Knowledge of any or all the following is beneficial: Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems, SOTI, Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 10), Active Directory, Windows terminal server and Office365.
5. Strong oral and written communication, organizational and time management skills required.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and perform duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
7. Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including walking, bending and lifting at least 50 pounds.
8. Flexible schedule to fit operational needs is required, including some weekends and holidays..
