Overview:
Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the information technology systems for EVMS. Duties include designing the basic computing infrastructure to accomplish key tasks, establishing networking rules for cybersecurity, monitoring/addressing to network security issues, and troubleshooting network errors and other technical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with clients, vendors, management and other members of the IT team during the creation and maintenance of a system.
- Assembly and deployment of computer hardware, operating system, and applications.
- Analyze and suggest changes to test, production, and mobile computing environments.
- Collaborate to assure knowledge development, sharing plus integration within as well as across all divisions of IT.
- Monitors and analyzes Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation.
- Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
- Evaluates firewall change requests and assesses organizational risk.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and compliance with information systems security policies and procedures.
- Tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise antivirus systems and software deployment tools.
- Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure.
- Serve as lead on IT projects, as needed.
- Creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.
- Developing a cost-efficient system for projects by performing a cost-benefit analysis.
- Coach and provide guidance and training to junior systems engineers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Requires a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years’ experience in server deployment and support required.
