Position Summary
The IT, Systems & Application Manager, is responsible for leading and managing the team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's critical business applications and supporting IT systems. Including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of software systems, project management expertise, and a track record of successfully delivering new technology initiatives. This role ensures the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality, user-friendly, and secure IT applications and supporting infrastructure to enable the organization to achieve its strategic objectives, with a future focus on leveraging emerging technologies such as Digital Transformation, AI, RPA, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's ERP's (RCC, D365 F&O & Denali), CRM (Hubspot), and other core business applications, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and meeting the organization's needs.
- With the support of the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager and team, ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IT applications and associated infrastructure, implementing appropriate monitoring and incident management processes.
- In conjunction with the Digital & IT Senior Management. evaluate, select, and oversee the implementation of new software systems and upgrades to existing applications.
- Develop and maintain integrations between different software systems using APIs and other integration methods.
- Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance, incorporating best practices from DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the organization's software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, sales, operations, HR & HSE to identify and address application-related challenges and requirements.
- Oversee the project management of Applications & Systems technology initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, and procedures for the company's software applications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to ERP, CRM, and other enterprise software solutions.
Team Leadership and Talent Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, with a particular emphasis on introducing skills related to RPA, DevOps, Digital Transformation, and AI.
- Recruit, train, and retain skilled IT professionals to ensure the department has the necessary expertise to support the organization's technology needs.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the team, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Develop and implement professional development plans to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, end-users, and cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide effective IT solutions.
- Communicate IT projects, initiatives, and performance metrics to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in an applications management or systems administration role, preferably within an ERP or CRM environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP and CRM software architectures, features, and functionalities.
- Proven experience in successfully implementing and integrating new software systems and applications.
- Familiarity with API-based integrations and data exchange between various software systems.
- Proficiency in data integration, data warehousing (including SQL), and working with APIs, interfaces, and middleware.
- Experience of working in a DevOps environment and of RPA, Digital Transformation, and AI would be useful.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex technology projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and implementing technology solutions to support business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field or an advanced certifications in IT applications such as Dynamics365.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
