IT Systems Administrator - INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc.

Who we need:

INIT is hiring mid-career IT professionals (7-10 years of experience) with knowledge, skills, and abilities across the IT discipline. This position will be the primary IT Systems Administrator for internal systems and is part of a team of IT Systems Engineers and IT Systems Associates who collaborate to support both internal and external IT systems. Primary responsibilities and expectations include owning and administering a broad array of internal IT systems to support our internal employee experience. Experience in implementing and/or managing systems and processes associated with endpoints, servers, networks, patch and vulnerability management, software and hardware asset management, service desk management, and security fundamentals is required. Ideal candidates hold certifications such as Security+, Network+, AZ-104, AZ-900, MD-100/MD-101 or higher. Candidates need to be able to support flexible work hours and demands including both early and after-hours activities as well as occasional weekend work.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to management and administration of:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2022 including Active Directory, Group Policy, File and application servers.
• Microsoft Client Operating Systems including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Microsoft 365 including Office, Teams, Intune, SharePoint and Azure cloud solutions.
• Cisco Call Manager, PBX and Unified Communications.
• IT Support systems including SentinelOne, Veeam Backup, SolarWinds, and Cisco Umbrella.
• Facility technology such as access control, audio video and video surveillance systems.
• IT Asset management processes including hardware, software, license, purchasing and vendor administration.
• IT Service desk processes and technical support to internal and external customers including remote staff including ticket assignment, follow-up and resolution.
• IT process documentation including instructions, procedures, work-items, and knowledge bases.
• Networking equipment including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• VMWare clusters and related technology including storage arrays and storage networks.

Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment:

• INIT currently works in a flexible, hybrid-work model with a mixture of work from office and work from home days each week.
• Typical work environments are an office or remote environment.
• Candidate must be able to pass a background check.
• Employees may be required to carry or work with equipment up to 50lbs.
• The work will require you to position yourself regularly to be stationary for up to 50% of your workday, ascend/descend stairs, and kneeling and/or squatting.
• Expected to be able to read and learn technical material, write, interpret data, problem solve and communicate with the customer.
• Must be able to adjust to non-standard work hours based on customer requirements.

Education:

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, and relevant industry certifications are preferred but not required.
