We are seeking IT Support Technician to join our growing technology team.
Job summary:
IT Support Technician will assist users with answering questions and solving issues and manage technology systems, security, devices, network, and peripherals. The position requires interaction with employees and executives. IT Support Technician reports to the IT Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot user devices, software, servers, systems, security configurations, security cameras and gates, networks, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage tickets, system alerts, escalations, licensing, etc. collaborating with the team to balance current tasks.
• Lead projects, as well as contribute to other team member’s projects to complete department and company goals.
• Coordinate installations, upgrades, and maintenance with users, vendors, and partners.
• Manage MDM for Windows/iOS/Android TVs including software deployments, OEM/Microsoft/Apple/3rd party updates, imaging, scripting, and automation.
• Manage and improve device backup solutions, UPS battery backups, servers, printer, and all technology management.
• Contribute to business continuity planning, documentation, and testing.
• Provide a high level of customer service and technical support to all office locations and remote staff.
• Manage user and device on-boarding and off-boarding, license management, and provide technology education to users.
• Create and modify documentation for users and internal technical reference including skills of image editing and technical writing experience.
• Optimize and enhance processes and systems with experience auditing existing systems to improve management and security.
• Assist with purchasing and evaluation of hardware and software.
Able to collaborate both in a team environment and work independently to complete tasks with minimal oversight. Desire to introduce new ideas for efficiency improvements with security and an agile mindset for continuous learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Able to support business technology needs with occasional work outside of normal business hours to support manufacturing shifts to assist with technology upgrades and problem resolution as required.
• Able to prioritize and balance distractions to provide end user education (one-on-one and small group settings), research and solve technology issues, projects, tickets, and coordination with third-party vendors.
• Management/Implementation/Enhancements of Microsoft 365 environment: Azure, Entra, Exchange, Defender, Intune, MFA, Policies, Security, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
• Network and firewall administration (Meraki, Unifi, SonicWall, etc.)
• Windows server administration (on-prem and cloud solutions) including Active Directory GPO and object management.
• Experience triaging and troubleshooting enterprise devices, peripherals, systems, cabling, etc.
• Documentation, standardization, creating scalable and redundant solutions and systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
• Desire to provide operational support and troubleshooting while balancing end user questions and requests as well as higher level systems administration and projects.
• Strong desire to improve system monitoring, remediation, prevention, and automation to increase proactive management of systems and devices increasing system stability and end user satisfaction.
• Experience defining and managing implementations for technology solutions and assisting with defining, implementing, and managing process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Extensive experience working with different operating systems, hardware, or network systems.
• Experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing in both Spanish and English is desirable.
• Experience with Windows Systems Administration, Active Directory, DHCP & DNS.
Physical Requirements:
• Extended periods of time working on a computer.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or less and ability to climb ladders less than 20’ in a manufacturing environment to support technology (end user devices, networking, TVs, cabling, peripherals, etc.) in areas with dust, noise, and various environmental conditions following safety requirements.
