Job Purpose
To provide technical support to all users in the company, help maintain systems, security, and processes, track and document inventory and technology assets, participate in company projects as needed as a representative of the IT department.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Faithfully execute the vision, culture, and ethical company norms with all interactions
- Provide IT support for local and remote workers with all desktop support issues during regular business operations and during emergency situations
- Support the company with all phone setup, usage, training and problem resolution
- Support the company with required network/wifi/printing configurations
- Maintain employee software licenses and accounts on an ongoing basis, including 3rd party software utilized by the staff (HubSpot, Slack, Dropbox, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Maintain inventory, configuration, and oversight of all staff workstations including but not limited to computers, phones, back-up power supplies, headsets, etc.
- Train users on proper use of hardware equipment and answer all general questions related to hardware in use
- Address technology specific questions from staff in a timely manner while documenting relevant information as defined in KPIs
- Provide clear and timely communication to end-users regarding the status of their support tickets and resolutions
- Document all support issues in the ticketing system
- Participate in ongoing IT training to continue to stay current on new hardware and software as required
- Facilitate the setup of computers and provide comprehensive IT support for new hires, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
- Participate in cyber security planning, training, implementation, and maintenance
- Provide regular updates to the IT Manager on the status of ongoing support tasks and projects
- Report any significant technical issues or trends to the IT Manager promptly for further analysis and action
- Coordinate closely with other IT team members under the guidance of the IT Manager to ensure alignment and efficiency in support operations
Must have
- Experience using macOS
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and critical thinking
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical things to non-technical people in a compassionate and helpful manner
- Must have personal responsibility and great time management
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks
- Ability to be a self-starter and work in a team-based environment
- Ability to troubleshoot problems for products you have never seen before
Nice to have
- Experience supporting macOS
- Experience troubleshooting VoIP phone systems like Vonage
- Experience using a ticketing system such as Jira Service Desk
- Experience using/supporting a CRM systems
- Experience using/supporting Google products such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive
- Experience with Google Workspace Administration
- Experience using/supporting Mac productivity software such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote
- Experience using/supporting 3rd party software products
- Experience supporting users in a hybrid work environment (local and remote)
Bonus points
- Experience with NIST security framework
- Experience using an Apple MDM software such as Mosyle
- Experience using/supporting HubSpot
