About the Job
Position Overview:
Performs technical work in the maintenance, support, and installation of computer and peripheral equipment to ensure proper performance.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose software and hardware problems
- Assists employees of the organization with IT related problems when called upon.
- Track, prioritize and document requests using an IT support request system.
- Install and configure new computers and other IT equipment.
- Add new users into various systems.
- Repair and upgrade different types of computers (software and hardware).
- Identify problems and repair printers, copiers and scanners.
- Keep track of IT supplies and equipment, e.g. cables and adapters.
- Perform regular updates of servers.
- Install cables in the organization.
- Maintains and stays informed of best practices and industry standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- US Work Authorization is required.
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- One to two years’ experience troubleshooting information systems in a help desk setting.
- Microsoft Windows (10, 11) administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Microsoft Server (2012, 2016, 2019).
- Linux experience (Debian, Ubuntu, Centos).
- Network Support & Troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of Ethernet cabling.
- Microsoft Office Suite Support experience.
- Microsoft Active Directory experience.
- Microsoft Exchange experience.
- Microsoft Office 365 experience.
- Web Browser support/settings administration experience.
- PC Hardware support — A+ Certification preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Customer service/Helpdesk experience.
- Ability to lift and/or move between 25-50 pounds.
