We are searching for a motivated & experienced IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist will provide help desk assistance and technical support for all types of issues affecting end users, such as software problems, network breakdowns, and hardware failures whether in the office or the production floor. They create and maintain user accounts.
After users report issues to the help desk through phone or email or a ticketing system, technicians track issues and begin to identify the glitches using conventional procedures and their insights. After isolating the problem, they find ways of fixing it. They need to replace the faulty hardware or resolve the software problem, depending on whether it is a software or a hardware issue.
If specialists cannot fix the problem, they escalate the problem. They also fix other devices, such as printers, scanners, copiers, and fax machines, among others. They should have excellent customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: include the following
- To provide helpdesk support for all types of issues, all business areas and all locations. This may require travelling if needed.
- Support operating systems, email clients, software as a service (SaaS) application, On premise applications and other crucial software of the organization/clients.
- Maintain equipment up to date with new software releases and security methods.
- Comply with information security measures as dictated by management and policy
- Secure systems using backups and access control.
- Prepare and install software/hardware for new hires (including but not limited to Desktop, Laptops, Tablets, printers, phones and needed peripherals).
- Design, develop, and upgrade existing systems along with the System Administrator.
- Plan, document, deploy and take part in other support activities.
- Help and complete tasks in the implementation of new software and hardware of the projects assigned.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and support the company’s IT infrastructure such as server, network (switches, routers, firewalls, cabling, IT production equipment, printers, phone system
- Work with hardware, software and services suppliers as needed.
Education and Qualification Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent years of related experience.
- Possession of accredited certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Comp Security+; is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
