Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and access permissions.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications and IT procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience.
- Proven 1-2 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with network protocols, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
