About the Job
25% travel to customers in Southern California and the rest remote. Cultural fit will be probably the most important trait needed as this is a small team and the owner of the MSP is very laid back, sharp, and pretty easy going. That being said, they do have urgent needs from customers and presentation/communication is critical.
I'm working directly with Kevin the MSP owner (his last name is Buhler) but he's traveling to Atlanta next week (12/2 to 12/6) so he will have limited access to email and calls etc. That being said, marking as C status due to uncertain feedback times.
In addition to be this being a C status, he has already started the search on his own and has 1 or 2 interviews. He's open now to outside help so we are competing against Linkedin job posting, Zip Recruiter, and him reaching out to others in his networks. We're slightly behind the eight ball but not a lot, so just wanted to set expectations. However, we definitely have a shot to fill this.
Side Update- This is a separate role from the Skechers opportunity we are supporting.
MUST HAVE'S:
- Requiring MSP experience

- Skills required: Windows (both workstation and server) - , Mac , Office 365 administration , VLAN, and Server management
- Two step interview process: Zoom & onsite

- Plus/Nice to have:Google Workspace administration, Jam, Intune ,Quantum StorNext (or other similar SAN),CCNA, MCSE, Meraki, and Veeam

Job Description:
- We are seeking to fill a position as an experienced IT Support Technician. This role is fast-paced and requires extreme concentration, dedication, and customer service talent.
- Some on-call required
- 70% help desk support; ~30% data wrangling
- Solve and close tickets for clients
- Educate clients
- Perform and manage projects for clients
- Track labor and expenses in PSA
- Grow documentation
- Choose and recommend products
- Perform minor physical moves and mounting
- 7+ years of IT experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to interface and communicate effectively with team members, clients, vendors, and potential clients.
- Have excellent written, verbal, and telephone skills.
- Have crisis management skills
- Intensely proficient with both admin and user side of Microsoft 365 and Google Workplace. You seek knowledge about new tools and technologies.
