About the Job
The Biden For President Campaign is seeking an IT Support Manager to oversee our HQ Help Desk team and to lead other IT initiatives, whether it be hardware, software or platforms. This person will be part of our IT team and will work hand in hand with our Security team to ensure IT platforms are operationally secure. We are looking for candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop the Campaign's HQ Help Desk team.
- Own the technician journey of employee lifecycle (onboarding, support, offboarding).
- Manage the Help Desk team's daily activities as well as the dispatch process of Help Desk tickets.
- Serve as the first point of contact with HQ Staff who need technical assistance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical hardware and/or software issues.
- Maintain and drive the development of a Help Desk Knowledge-Base.
- Assist in the onboarding of new staff and volunteers, by configuring, issuing and/or provisioning necessary hardware, accounts, and services.
- Develop and implement IT initiatives, projects, and solutions to support campaign-wide or department specific needs.
- Maintain and manage continuous improvement of our HQ office infrastructure; network, video conference room equipment, printers, etc.
- Collaborate with our Security Team and work closely with the Security Operations Manager to ensure IT infrastructure is configured and maintained in a secure fashion.
- Oversee device deployment (laptops, phones, accessories) for HQ Staff.
- Collaborate with and support the DNC & State Party Help Desk leadership to ensure smooth operations for our nationwide IT footprint.
- Collaborate with our HQ Operations team on onboarding, device deployment, and other activities.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as an IT Support Manager or in a technical support role.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong technical implementation & troubleshooting background.
- Deep knowledge of software, hardware, networks, and other IT systems.
- Knowledge or experience in Information Security preferred.
- Previous political campaign experience preferred.
