IT Specialist, Journeyman (SAF/AQB - Scientific Advisory Board) - TS/SCI - OBXtek Inc.

Responsibilities:

OBXtek is looking to fill a position on our Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support II (STAQSS II) contract for the Headquarters Air Force is seeking a Journeyman IT Specialist for the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).   The AQB Scientific Advisory Board is responsible for providing administrative support needed to enable SAB activities to include: assisting in editing, publishing, and maintaining SAB reports and briefs, tracking responses/actions from recommendations made by the SAB, processing all documentation for appointments and reappointments, and ensuring that SAB activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and directives (FACA, AFI, DoDI, Ethics, etc.).

 

*This position is currently a hybrid work schedule eligible, with on-site work 3-4 days per week, split between Joint Base Andrews and Pentagon. 

**This position can potentially be 100% onsite, based on the mission's needs.

 

The tasks for this position include:

• Establish a standalone network at various locations within the Continental US (CONUS).
• Format 70 – 150 hard drives annually to support newly drafted Authorization-to-operate (ATO) and update Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
• Responsible for attending pre-planning meetings, post lessons learned, and prepare After Action Reports (AAR). The AAR will be used to gather facts, identify positive and negative trends and provide a platform to resolve issues to include requesting consumables to support current and future studies sessions and address life cycle replacements.
• Directly coordinates on all SAB network related tasking’s (scheduling shipments, storage and staging of equipment).
• Coordinates shipping arrangements with origin mailroom facility and destination point of contacts (POC) for SAB network equipment shipments.
• Couriering classified (Secret and TS-SCI) material within the National Capital Region (NCR), with possible worldwide courier requirements in direct support to the customer. Assist customer with identifying available government destruction facilities (if required). Request Visitor Access Request (VAR) and provide Security Management Office (SMO) Codes if travel is to a cleared facility. Assist with setting up Temporary Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) resetting vault and safe combinations upon arrival and departure.
• Monitoring the Scientific Advisory Board Database (SABDB) SQL database data records for accuracy, modify web application (ASP) code, generate routine & non-routine reports/queries, and training support staff on web applications.
• Maintains inventory of equipment including but not limited to computers, lock bags, cables and adapters, projectors, projectors, scanners, CDs/DVDs, and other material related to on site product configuration and control.
• Transfer files to and from external hard drives.
• Developing artifacts to support annual new membership nomination and approval process.
• Developing artifacts to support annual study topic nomination process.
• Updating and maintaining organizational content on the AF Portal and public website, training and resolving content issues and questions.
• Maintaining organizational content and access control on SharePoint applications, training, and resolving content issues and questions; set-up and maintain organizational file plan.
• Providing organizational workflow management support, monitoring organizational inboxes, managing organizational workflow tracking tool and providing regular status of organizational workflow at staff meeting.
• Maintain All Partners Access Network usernames and passwords, resolves password reset requests, establish folder structure at Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level for board members, AQB personnel, and volunteer executive officers/
• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
• This position requires travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) and the individual must be able to lift to 50lbs.
• Handles confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
• Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications:

Active Top Secret with SCI required

 

• IAT Level II Certification required. 
• Personnel in this position shall have a BA/BS degree and at least 5 years of experience conducting Information Technology services/support.
• Shall be proficient with MS Windows Server, MS Exchange Server, MS operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware, SharePoint, Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language, Active Server Pages (ASP) coding, and low to high and parallel Data Transfer Authority (DTA).
• A working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communications security (COMSEC) integration.
• This person should be knowledgeable on AF Public Information Management System, AF SharePoint, AF Portal and AF SQL Applications IT systems and experience using these applications in the AF environment.
