Overview:
The IT Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering efficient and timely technical solutions, ensuring smooth operations across our branches and headquarters. This dynamic position blends hands-on fieldwork with essential technical expertise to support both day-to-day helpdesk service requests and critical projects related to branch openings and office moves.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking concepts and processes, paired with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and customer service. This individual will oversee the end-to-end deployment of IT equipment for new locations, coordinating ISP and low-voltage appointments, and visiting sites to set up network infrastructure and workstations. Additionally, they will provide on-site IT support to our call centers and headquarters, maintaining and troubleshooting desktops, phones, and printers.
As an IT Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of our tech team, ensuring seamless operations for our internal teams while fostering a customer-centric approach to service. Travel flexibility will be essential based on business needs, making this role both diverse and impactful.
Schedule: Full time Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Compensation: $53,000-$62,000 salary
Essential Functions:
- Provide in-person and remote helpdesk support across 50+ office locations, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and mentor fellow IT team members to share technical knowledge.
- Offer one-on-one or group support to end users, identifying and implementing process improvements where possible.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support level for timely resolution.
- Travel nationwide to set up network equipment and workstations at new branch locations.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for branch opening services, managing projects through completion.
- Oversee IT equipment procurement and logistics for branch openings, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain communication with General Managers to ensure successful branch openings.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as an IT Administrator/Help Desk Technician, or similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in customer service and great communication, with the ability to adapt technicality to suit the audience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Time management skills to provide updates and solutions within a promised time frame
- Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential concerns.
- Ability to multi-task multiple support requests and projects
- Experience opening branch locations regarding networking and equipment infrastructure
- Willingness and ability to travel on a as needed basis for a week at a time, at least once a month, and up to 2-3 times a month depending on business need.
Physical Requirements:
The position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines located at multiple locations within the building. The position will also require 25%> traveling to multiple states across the US.
- Ability to move equipment & or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move about the office frequently.
