About the Job
Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) is seeking an IT Specialist Expert to support ongoing improvements and maintenance to the IC Proof of Coverage web application, XML Form Submission, eClaims Data Entry/Inquiry, Prime forms, and other system. Additionally, will be a developer on projects that effect these or other critical application systems and integrations.

Day to Day task include:
- Gather business requirements
- Document requirements and solutions
- Write technical specifications
- Code, test, and implement software modules
- Review code and test results of other programmers
- Create physical database work tables and temporary tables and indexes
- Coordinate and conduct Unit, System and Stress testing
- Helpdesk Tickets (Day to Day questions and issues).
- Enhancements requested from the Business Users.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months Java Fullstack Developer
- 84 months of experience in writing Triggers, Stored Procedures, Dynamic SQL, and SQL tuning in a relational database.
- 72 months of experience with gathering requirements and creating technical design documents.
- 48 months of experience using the Spring Framework.
- 24 months of experience in source code management (i.e., SVN, TFS)
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: Negotiable daily work hours (strongly prefer starting between 7:00 and 9:00am through 3:30 or 5:30pm).
- Physical office location: NYS ITS (WCB), 150 Broadway Menands, NY 12204
- Telecommuting options: 50%
