The Job at a Glance
We are looking for a talented and dynamic IT Technical Trainer and IT Asset Administrator to join our team. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of technology within our branches. The ideal candidate will handle technical training, hardware and software maintenance, system audits, inventory management, and serve as the liaison between branch staff and the Business Technology Team. We seek a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This position requires approximately 80% travel to various branch locations.
A Typical Day
- Conduct routine maintenance on hardware and software to maintain peak performance of all banking technology systems.
- Diagnose and fix technical problems with branch equipment such as computers, ATMs, printers, and other devices.
- Keep all systems current with the latest software updates.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to branch staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with branch managers and staff to understand their technology needs and address any concerns.
- Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of new technology initiatives and upgrades within the branches.
- Quickly address emergency technical issues at branch locations to minimize operational disruptions.
- Foster strong relationships with branch staff through regular visits and proactive support.
- Design and deliver technical training sessions for branch staff on both new and existing technology systems and applications.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and guides to assist staff in effectively understanding and using technology.
- Create and develop detailed training programs for branch staff on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
- Offer continuous support and refresher training as needed to maintain staff proficiency.
- Conduct interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and online, to ensure staff proficiency in using IT tools.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and observation, and make necessary improvements to enhance outcomes.
- Develop and maintain current training materials, manuals, and documentation for various IT systems and applications.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all IT assets within the branch, including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all system audits and inventory activities.
- Keep detailed records of all technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, audit results, and inventory status for management review.
- Supervise the procurement, deployment, and configuration of IT assets to ensure they align with organizational standards and requirements.
- Implement and manage tracking systems to monitor the location, status, and condition of IT assets.
- Ensure adherence to IT asset management policies and participate in regular audits to verify asset accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee the lifecycle of IT assets, including maintenance, upgrades, and disposal, in line with organizational policies.
- Assist in developing and enhancing technical support processes and procedures
- Keep thorough records of maintenance activities, repairs, and audits.
- Create and submit reports detailing branch conditions, assets, and maintenance activities.
- Based on audit findings, maintenance observations, and employee feedback, recommend improvements, such as refreshing hardware and optimizing the use of the system's existing capabilities.
- Create and update detailed documentation for network layouts and configurations, ensuring all diagrams are precise, easy to understand, and readily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

What We Look For
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field and desktop technician or maintenance role.
- Demonstrated experience in technical support, IT maintenance, and training roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of banking technology systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities and capable of working autonomously.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing IT systems.
- Certifications related to asset management a plus.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems, asset management practices or a related field.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, software applications, and IT infrastructure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to train and support non-technical staff.
- Lifting and Travel required.
- Some nights and weekends are required.
