Job Description:
The NCDOT Information Security Office requires an information security specialist resource to provide information security policy, process, procedure, technology and systems consulting for the NCDOT IT Intelligent Transportation Systems Support Team.

Job Description:
The NCDOT Information Security Office requires an information security specialist resource to provide information security policy, process, procedure, technology and systems consulting for the NCDOT IT Intelligent Transportation Systems Support Team.
Experience Requirements:
Progressive experience in computing and information security consulting, specifically including experience supporting an IT enterprise- Information security specialist operational experience performing vulnerability analysis, documenting results and guiding remediation
- Information security analyst experience performing risk analysis, documenting results and guiding best practice implementations
- Information security analyst experience performing business continuity planning and disaster recovery analysis, planning, testing and implementation
- Experience with InfoSec tools such as IDS/ISP, firewall, AV, packet capture & analysis, malware analysis, SIEM
- Specific SIEM experience with IBM Qradar
- Specific scan tool experience with Nessus or Rapid7
- Evaluating and developing security hardening for Intelligent Transportation Systems such as highway message boards, video systems and reversible lanes
- Experience developing and publishing information security policy, standards and procedures in cooperation with business customers
- Knowledge of the TCP and IP protocol suite, related security architectures, and remote access security techniques and products
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance including, but not limited to: OWASP, ISO, and NIST
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Evaluating and producing security hardening for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as used in industrial, utilities and SCADA systems
- CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, CEH, Security+ or related information security certification
