Title: IT Security Program Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD (once in a week)
Duration: 6+ months contract to hire
Our client is a leading IT Security consulting company seeking a highly skilled IT Security Program Manager Consultant to oversee and manage high-priority cybersecurity programs, projects, and initiatives.
• The IT Security Program Manager will play a critical role in leading client-facing consulting engagements to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity programs and initiatives, and to deliver projects on time and on budget to various end clients.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage complex IT Security programs and projects working with cross-functional teams of
information security and IT professionals, including Security Analysts, Engineers, and Consultants, to execute security projects and tasks effectively.
• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity programs and initiatives to safeguard the organization's information assets and systems.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, executive leadership, and external partners/vendors.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity matters, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management and project teams.
• Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies and tools, including multiple cloud platforms,
firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM platforms, IAM platforms, and endpoint security solutions.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations
• Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends, and recommend proactive measures to enhance the organization's security posture.
Requirements:
• Prefer Bachelor's or advanced degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology/Security,
or related field (such as Business, Project Management, etc.)
• 8+ years of experience in IT Project and Program Management.
• 3-5+ years of experience managing IT Cybersecurity projects, especially in customer-facing consultative positions for enterprise clients
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and frameworks, including Governance,
Risk and Compliance (GRC), incident response, encryption, identity and access management, and security architecture.
• Experience managing complex cybersecurity projects and initiatives, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting.
