IT Security Engineer - Bayview Asset Management

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Technology Security Engineer completes tasks designed to ensure the security of the organization's systems and information assets. This position protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction of company systems or data while supporting systems security control objectives to meet regulatory and contractual requirements. This position works with the business and end-users to determine individual department needs, implements policies and procedures, and supports compliance throughout the organization. Must be familiar with a variety of Information Security concepts, practices, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of email security including Security Email gateways, email authentication, phishing, spam filtering, malware filtering, phishing simulations, and encryption
• Provide support for a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to: EDR, End-Point Security, Database Security, SIEM, Security Auditing, and Vulnerability

Scanning
• Support public cloud security for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud delivery models
• Create and maintain security documentation, diagrams, policies, and procedures
• Perform any additional tasks required to support IT and Security control objectives, business objectives, IT projects, and others
• Implement and coordinate remedial measures for systems security events, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in IT Security exercises, audits, and third-party reviews
• Keep abreast of industry security trends and current systems threat profiles

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

Required Experience:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience within systems operations and/or systems security
• Experience managing secure email gateways and other email security solutions
• Experience with systems events monitoring and enrichment, analysis and anomaly detection
• Experience in highly regulated environments, preferably Financial Services or similar

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Strong research and trouble-shooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of methods to secure systems, databases and applications
• Skill with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
• Broad understanding of current information security technologies, security industry trends, etc.
• Quick learner, adaptable, flexible, customer service oriented, a team player, and always closes the loop with the customer

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, and/or REGISTRATION
• Preferred: the following licenses or certificates are preferred: CISSP, CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, ITIL v3, MCP, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+; CompTIA Security +, AWS, Azure

LOCATION & COMPENSATION:
• This role can be hybrid position (3 days onsite) out of our Coral Gables, Florida office or be remote based anywhere in the US.
• Base compensation is expected to be $120-160k with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
