- Participate in the detailed technical design of applications with the solution architects
- Develop & test functions and application components in Java on application server platform leveraging messaging middleware and RDB backend frameworks
- Integrate written components with frameworks and other common components
- Develop documentation artifacts
- Support testing (Unit, Functional, Performance, Access controls)
- Work closely with the automation teach lead and architect to implement the strategy and design into automated testing tools/scripts.
- Devise and influence test strategies for mission critical systems and implement comprehensive test coverage for changes that require testing efforts to span across multiple products and squads.
- Understand complex business and functional requirements and work with quality engineers in implementing technical test cases that thoroughly test the tech stack and meet the product requirements.
- Promote innovation and evolution of quality engineering techniques, test automation technologies and ensure pervasive quality in product development.
- Collaborate with other members of a cross-disciplinary team operating within the Scrum framework to consistently deliver Product improvements according to the guidelines
- Drive Agile adoption and find opportunities for gaining efficiencies in quality practices, thereby reducing end-to-end testing cycle times for mission critical applications.What we are looking for:As amemberof the Application Automation Development staff, the candidate would participate in the detailed design and implementation of automation frameworks and test cases utilizing Java /Selenium/API technologies for mission critical Payments products. The position is for an advanced developer who has very strong experience developing and implementing automation for applications designed with J2EE architecture. The candidate will be responsible for building automation of applications based on the established FRB system architecture and will be involved in the entire delivery life cycle as part of an Agile SCRUM team. The candidate will work on planning and development of critical Fedwire applications, including Securities Funds, NSS and Settlement systemsQualifications:
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in Java/J2EE distributed application Development. Includes strong experience with various J2EE components and services
- At least 7 years of working experience with JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript, JDBC, HTML.
- 3-5 years working with Spring framework (including Spring integration and Spring Batch ) and good understanding of AOP concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science/technology, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
- Strong analysis and design skills, including requirements analysis, OO design patterns
- General knowledge of open source frameworks
- Keen understanding of performance issues and end to end debugging capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures (PL/SQL) and database fundamentals (Oracle).
- Experience with Jenkins and Selenium Grid for continuous testing.
- Experienced in reviewing and writing Unit Tests and collaborating with Developers and Business stakeholders
- Solid understanding of, and experience in,Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Test Driven Development (TDD), defining enterprise-wide standards for product quality
- Solid comprehension, training, and experience in leveragingdynamic test environments, cloud technologies, test data management strategies and test infrastructure design
- Experience with Applit and HP ALM tools is a plus.
- Strong multi tasking and collaboration skills.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Financial Services industry are a plus, workingknowledge of cloud technologies is a plusAdditional Information: Location(s):
